I started a nonprofit called Overdrive Robotics, named after our competitive team.
At Overdrive Robotics, our mission is to ignite a passion for learning and innovation in young minds through the exciting world of robotics. We believe in the power of hands-on experience and the transformative impact of technological education. Our program, led by dedicated high school students, aims to introduce elementary school children to the fundamentals of robotics and programming, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. By bridging the gap between technology and youth, we are committed to cultivating the next generation of problem solvers, innovators, and leaders who will shape the future.

Following my world championship title, I reflected on myself and what this meant for my robotics journey. I recognized that the position I was in held a lot of power that, if used properly, could be helpful to countless other students and learners wanting to increase their knowledge and understanding of STEM and robotics. I began tutoring and volunteer coaching younger teams and students, and worked with my sister to create and run STEM camps over breaks. Soon after, we started a nonprofit called Overdrive, named after our competitive team. Our mission was simple: ignite the spark of learning in as many people as possible. We established a VEX IQ team at Knox Gifted Academy, and they placed 16th at their debut tournament. We also worked in conjunction with North High School, Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary School, and Galveston Elementary School to implement STEM-based learning opportunities that were previously hard to access for their students. Throughout this experience, I learned that my true passion was learning, teaching, and sharing knowledge.
